OUR MISSION
Using the principles of RECYCLE, REDUCE, REUSE, to fully represent and serve the citizens of Craighead county in the safe, efficient, economical, and lawful disposal of solid waste that results in "shielding our natural resources thru proper disposal."
SOLID WASTE DISPOSAL HISTORY
The Arkansas Solid Waste Management Act (Act 237) of 1971 defined the responsibilities and authority for local political bodies to manage their solid waste streams and the rules and regulations that govern those bodies. Our company was born out of this act, and had evolved over the years through different names, different service areas, different management, and different staffs to what it is today.
The Authority serves the citizens of CRAIGHEAD County in accepting the solid waste stream and lawfully recycling, re-using, or disposing of it. The long term benefits to the current and future citizens are a clean environment, safe water supply, and general healthy quality of life.
